Showers expected in Northern, Eastern Provinces

Thundershowers are likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces, as well as in the Nuwara-Eliya and Kandy districts, during the evening or night, the Meteorology Department said.

They said that mainly fair weather will prevail in other areas.

Meanwhile, misty conditions are expected in most parts of the island during the morning.
