Very Good article. This time, very less chance for getting 50% from first preference. Therefore it is very important for all of us to mark the second preference vote. It will give value for our vote even our first preference is not among the top two candidates. Although the main candidates are not in favour for it, we should promote the second preference and it will give value for your vote.

EC should play repeated radio and TV ad's to enlighten the masses as to how to carry out preferential voting today and tomorrow. Each booth should have a poster in a similar manner explained in the above article. Important to emphasize not to place a X for 1st preference if they want to select 2nd and 3rd preferences.

All these statistics are good only if voters follow a pattern. Why does one want a 2nd and third preferences as the voters of a candidate following only the symbol X will never want a 2nd and 3rd preference by which they are at an advantage. Because on the other hand a voter adopting a pattern of 1st 2nd and 3rd not reaching the 50 percent will by their own folly in a recount give candidates marking only X to obtain a piggy back ride status from those voters choosing other candidates who have marked 1,2,3 as these voters never contemplated to give a chance to three candidates but only one candidate and with this system given an advantage to the candidate whose voters have only marked X!!!!!!!!
