Special traffic plan in Colombo and suburbs tomorrow

The Sri Lanka Police will implement a special traffic plan to manage the expected increase in road traffic heading towards Colombo city and Galle Face Green for the 2025 New Year's Eve on 31 of December.

A significant influx of traffic is anticipated in Colombo and from surrounding areas as people gather to celebrate the arrival of the year 2025. 

To address this, the police have outlined a special traffic plan covering key areas, including Pettah, Colombo Fort, Kompannavidiya, Maradana, Kollupitiya, Bambalapitiya and Cinnamon Gardens.

Parking will be prohibited at designated parking lots along Galle Face Centre Road. All vehicles will be directed to free or private parking facilities available within the aforementioned police divisions.
