‘Yukthiya’: Over 800 suspects arrested within last 24 hours

Colombo, June 27 (Daily Mrror) - A total of 807 suspects, including three underworld figures were arrested within the last 24 hours during island-wide Yukthiya operations yesterday.

Police said 773 suspects were arrested related to drug offenses, and 34 suspects who were on the list were referred to criminal divisions.

Police headquarters said that 52 kgs and 616 mgs of heroin, 142 kgs of ice narcotics and 453 mgs of drugs were seized during the raids conducted under the Yukthiya operation.
