If Sinopharm second dose missed, go to Sugathadasa Stadium
The Public Health Department of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) today requested people, who had obtained their first jab of the Sinopharm vaccine at a CMC vaccination centre, to visit the Sugathadasa Stadium vaccination centre to get the second jab if they have missed it.
CMC regional Epidemiologist Dr. Dinu Guruge told the Daily Mirror that the people have been requested to visit the said vaccination centre every day to obtain their missed dose.
The vaccination rollout is still underway and it began parallel to the vaccination roll out in the CMC area.
"Since the day the vaccination programme began in the Colombo Municipality area, several people who had registered in the area have missed their second jab. They might have gone through rigorous procedures or missed them due to personal reasons, can visit the Sugathadasa Stadum vaccination centre with their vaccination card to obtain their dose," she said.
At least 6,000 to 8,000 people are vaccinated daily in the CMC area during the past six days and nearly 200 to 250 people have missed the vaccine dose.
Nearly 1,500 people have missed the Sinopharm vaccine second dose in the CMC area and they can visit the Sugathadasa Stadum vaccination centre, Dr. Guruge added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
