LITRO gas releases excess cylinders than the daily consumption

Litro Gas Lanka today announced that they have released domestic gas cylinders in excess which are more than the daily requirement by the consumers and thereby stabilized the gas need in the local market.

Litro Gas Lanka Senior Manager Chamani Herath Pathirage said they have sufficient stocks in hand to meet the demand.

The gas shortage was due to an attempt by the company to retrieve the gas cylinders which the consumers had. As a result, Litro Gas Lanka requested that consumers should only buy gas for their use.

People have been advised not to panic as the company has the capacity to release sufficient stock of gas cylinders to the market in order to meet daily consumption.

In addition, Litro Gas Lanka urged the public to alert them via 1311 about stockists who sell gas at higher prices. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

We are living in Mutual Colombo 15 and we are unable to get cylinder for the two months . We are senior citizens and unable to wait in long queues due to our health conditions. Agent has kept the phone line off. I even spoke to your customer service but no solutions.

Laugfs has never misled the people by using substandard liquid gas the way LITRO did. So, marketing Laugfs gas is utmost important at this juncture. They never target the profit by using people as human-shield.

The Litro gas Co must ensure that their dealers/agents to supply at least one cylinder once a month. People have seen a agent Mattakuliya/ Modera area supplying cylinders around midnight at a higher price depriving the residents depending on them.

What nonsense! While I was passing my local gas supplier last afternoon around 4pm, I noticed he was getting a new stock. I had already placed an order with him the day before, so I askked whether I could collect ry cylinder. He told me that all his cylinders were going to pre-orders and that I'll have to wait another one or two days!
