More ministers to cabinet soon - Govt. aims to go back to jumbo cabinet

A few more Cabinet ministers are expected to be sworn in shortly, a Minister said.

Housing and Urban Development Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said it would happen either this week or next week.

The Minister who is also the Chief Government Whip said MP Namal Rajapaksa might also get a portfolio.

Earlier, 37 MPS, mostly from Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), were appointed state ministers.

The President can appoint 30 Cabinet ministers in keeping with the Constitution.

State Minister of Defence Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon, Secretary, Ministry of Defence General Kamal Gunaratne, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, Inspector General of Police C. D. Wickramaratne, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence R. M. P. S. Rathnayake, Commandant of the National Defence College Major General Amal Karunasekara, Director, Department of National Budget Ms. W. M. S. K. Weerasekara and Secretary, National Defence College Brigadier Asanga Perera also graced the occasion.(Kelum Bandara)

What the hell is this hanky-panky. Appoint all Rajapaksas and their their stooges as Ministers, State Ministers, Deputy Ministers, in one shot. The way things are going on, no one will open the mouth. Even if any one opens due to his bad luck, following day Ranil will send him to Welikada or his body to Gallface beach.

No one dare to come out and fight for injustice Most Sinhalese people have no shame or guilt of raising their children with looted money and properties. Most of these people are Buddhist and they have no problem in making money in incorrect ways. SL army looted even the doors and windows of houses of Tamils in North and East. Sinhalese people looted and burnt the houses of Tamils all around the island. Lord Buddha will cry by his heart if he visits SL now. Aragalaya’s demands are not very great as well. “Gota Go Home” was not the only thing what the country needed. What is happening now. The same guys (GR, MR, BR, NR) are “WORKING FROM HOME”!!!. These 4 R’s should be made to disappear from the political arena completely. These people are the curse for the country.
