Carnage

This week on Fashionably Danu I speak to a team of fitness enthusiasts about a lifestyle and active brand which has been making headlines. You do know about my occasional visit to the gym and everytime I went I saw people looking smarter and nicer. It’s then I noticed the brand, Carnage which is a local brand with a true global viewpoint and many at my gym have picked it up and it is the trend. Dedicated to both men and women, Carnage really does stand out, interesting design, great logo placement and the comfort level is spot on.

As ambassadors they get to enjoy the wardrobe and also focus on becoming a better athlete.

To the team that is behind making this brand I’m super proud to know that a local brand can stand on par on a global level in terms of “everything” marketing, packaging comfort and quality.
Today I picked up on some of the lifestyle products that I loved and these are the oversized T-shirts. The fabric is so comfortable, the finish is so clean, excited to see the all new range coming out on the 30th of Jan.

We Sat down to speak to the team about the brand and this is what they had to say..

What sparked your interest in “Active” & Lifestyle wear? Having an existing running brand in the fitness industry showed us that there is a requirement for high quality yet unique styles of active wear. Subsequently with the audience on our platforms growing it opened doors for us to explore more into Lifestyle wear as well as Active wear.

Tell me about your collection which you have featured in this shoot? The Desire Oversize collection being one of our Top selling collections feature a unique pallet of pastel colour shades. The fabric used for this collection is undoubtedly one of the most comfortable fabrics making it perfect for any casual or training occasions.
The At Leisure Collection is focussed more on creating Active wear that not only makes you look great but also makes you feel great.

what do you want to leave back as a trade Mark for your brand? Create a community of every day athletes aspiring to be relentless in every aspect of life. As our tagline goes ; “Be Relentless”

How often do you restock? Most items do not get restocked. We want most items to be unique to the ones who snag them when they
are launched.
That being said, We do hand pick  a few top sellers and restock  them monthly.

What are the retail outlets which carry your brand? Or is it online? Currently we only retail via incarnage.com and look forward to opening up the first Carnage retail store this year.

What would you say is your personal style, when it comes to active wear? Dark colours and oversize fits for comfort is my usual go to.

What is the process of creating and marketing your design? We test run a product for a period of 1-2 months before we work on the design and embellishments. Once the product is done we have our group of athletes who use them for a few days and share product details with their respective social platforms.

Who do you envision wearing your work? Do you always plan it for the fitness market, or it’s open to anyone? Our brand has already taken a shift from being purely Active wear focussed to now creating items for Lifestyle wear. So anybody who is looking for unique colours, comfort and styles that make them feel great, look great and being a part of a community of everyday athletes.

Are you self taught or did you study fashion? Self taught

How hard is it to promote active wear? It is somewhat challenging as many don’t look
into investing in great activewear as they are comfortable in wearing what they already have in their wardrobe. However we are seeing a positive shift.

What other areas is your brand involved in? Apart from clothing we have an entire range of gym accessories such as belts, wrist wraps etc. We will also be launching our first collection of slip on sliders as well as duffel bags and more to come.
