Ceylon Curry Club, Sri Lanka’s renowned contemporary food fad, recently opened its doors to the public with the launch of its new dine-in restaurant at the Dutch Hospital Precinct, Colombo. Offering a tantalizing plethora of Sri Lankan dishes, the fully functioning restaurant is now open for lunch and dinner from 11.00 am to 11.30 pm, daily.
Ceylon Curry Club initially operated as an online food delivery service, offering many hungry customers a plethora of delectable lunch packs. Following its immense initial success, this delivery venture acted as a stepping stone leading to the opening of the new mainstay in Sri Lanka’s contemporary food landscape.
Inspired by Sri Lanka’s culinary heritage, the restaurant provides a wide range of ‘classic’ Sri Lankan dishes, fused with a mix of modern culinary styles to cater to the ever-evolving culinary demands of the local consumer.
From tasty tantalizing titbits such as crumbed fried pork to local favourites such as the devilled chicken, the sought after ‘prawn wadey’, and the tasteful hot butter calamari, to the appetite arousing local favourites such as the spiced roasted pumpkin soup and the sweet potato roti with jackfruit puree – Ceylon Curry Clubs new range of starters and appetizers is sure to elevate customer tastebuds to a soulful delight of culinary heaven. Following these is the range of ‘punchy mains’ featuring a wide array of flavour-infused, taste-packed meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes that are sure to satiate your culinary needs. The Ceylon Curry Club also features a range of traditional dishes that have stood the test of time and remain as everlasting favourites, including hoppers, the age-old classic that is ‘godambaroti’,and other dishes that form the staple Sri Lanka diet, from pittu and pol roti, to the traditional Sri Lankan rice dishes. These dishes are supported by a vast range of authentic Sri Lankan curries, and a final flourish of traditional desserts that acts a perfect close to your culinary experience.
