Scenic Bolgoda Lake is located bordering Colombo and Kalutara districts, creating a huge flow of water from two major water bodies - North and South Bolgoda Lakes that covers 374 square kilometres partly fresh and brackish water from the drain point into the sea at the estuary in Panadura. Considered as the largest natural lake in Sri Lanka, Bolgoga Lake is a tourist attraction and is a popular location for water sports. The section from the old iron bridge of Moratuwa to the river mouth in Panadura, popularly known as ‘Moratu Ganga’ is the closest tourist spot to capital Colombo.

Grand Bolgoda is well known for its banquet facilities. The Resort offers five up market banquet halls -namely main ballroom ‘Grand Leeza’ with 350 pax capacity, ‘Grand Shenaya with 250 pax capacity and Grand Leeza 2 with 125 pax capacity. Banquets ‘Grand Mayo’ and ‘Grand Subhaya’ can accommodate up to 120 pax each respectively.  Apart from that Roof Top ‘Grand Sky’ offers a breath-taking view of the Lake and Colombo skyline including the glittering Lotus Tower in Colombo in the night sky.
