Despite the curfew being lifted in the Western Province, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today informed officials to take measures to restrict people’s movements from the Western Province to other provinces as a majority of Covid-19 cases were reported from the Western Province.
As the talks on a vaccine against Covid-19 are in the spotlight around the world, Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said Sri Lanka cannot keep depending on a vaccine alone considering the time period of availability of the vaccine, the cost and several other factors.
