The zonal lockdown procedures should be implemented with immediate effect after identifying areas where the COVID-19 virus could be spreading, the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) said.
One of the patients who visited the Hemas Hospital in Thalawathugoda on October 19 was found positive for COVID-19 after being transferred to the Sri Jayawardenepura General Hospital (SJGH), the Hemas Hospital said.
