Weligama Traders and Scholars distribute dry ration packs

The Weligama Traders and Scholars Association organized a programme to provide pregnant mothers with 5000 rupees worth of dry ration packages near the Samadhi Buddha statue at the Weligama Beach Park.   

Chief Secretary of Weligama Sasanarakshaka Balamandala, Wepathaira Indasiri Thera, and its President Nattawela Nandasiri Thera, who were present on the occasion, blessed the pregnant mothers by reciting Pirith and giving them Pirith water and thread. Thereafter the ration bags were distributed.   

Members of the Weligama Traders and Scholars Association including its President Metthananda Sayakkara were engaged in distributing the dry rations.
