During the extended school vacation children will have the opportunity to experience one of the much look forward to animation adventure comedies in cinemas: ‘Migration’.
The story in the film revolves around a family of ducks that makes a long journey and encounters various adventures. The film is directed by Benjamin Renner, co-directed by Guylo Homsy and produced by Chris Meledandri.
In the film the family of ducks decides to leave the safe environment of a New England pond and sets off on an adventurous trip to Jamaica. However, their well mapped plan quickly goes awry when they get lost in a wind in New York City. The terrifying experience soon comes to an end and they are able to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends and accomplish more than they ever thought was possible.
The film borrows voices from Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Keegan-Michael Key, Awkwafina and Danny DeVito. In the story, the ducks-who belong to the mallard species- try to convince their overprotective father to go on a vacation of a lifetime and attempt to migrate from New England via New York City to Jamaica.
