The Annual Research Symposium of the University of Colombo will be held at the university premises from November 23 to December 28. The main objective of the Annual Research Symposium is to promote academic research conducted in different disciplines and to disseminate research findings to the public. The inauguration ceremony of the Annual Research Symposium will be held on November 23 at 8.30 am at the New Arts Theatre of the University of Colombo under the leadership of Senior Professor Chandrika N. Wijeyaratne, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo. The special invitee of the inauguration ceremony is the Minister of Foreign Affairs Professor G. L Peiris. 
His Excellency, Mr. Gopal Baglay, High Commissioner of India will grace the ceremony as the chief guest. The keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Mohan Munasinghe.
