‘Awarjana’, an evening of music featuring some of the renowned leading singing sensations in the Sri Lankan musical arena will go on the boards on Friday, December 1st at the BMICH. Musically backed by a full orchestra directed by seasoned musician Nalaka Sajee, the musical evening features Visharada T M Jayarathne, Visharada Edward Jayakody, Visharada Deepika Priyadarshani, Sunil Edirisinghe and Visharada Samitha Mudunkotuwa.
Organised by Star Events (Pvt) Ltd - which is famous for its earlier successful events such as the international event of the most popular Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam Live in Concert and many other local concerts - the entire proceeds of the show are directed for a charity project. Sashikala Hettiarachchi is the joint organizer.
“Part of the funds generated from this show will be directed at renovating and refurbishing ward no: 31 and 32 of the Colombo North Teaching Hospital in Ragama”, Sudarma Jayawardene, Director, Star Events (Pvt) Ltd said.
