Commemorative speeches on Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation will be aired on the occasion of the 106th birth anniversary of the former Speaker Late Deshamanya M.A. Bakeer Markar which falls on May 12 (today).  
Speeches delivered by eminent persons will be broadcast as follows. 

Parliamentarian Kavinda Jayawardena will speak on Sinhala Swadeshiya Service (91.7/ 91.9 FM) at 12 pm while Attorney-at-Law Lihini Fernando is to speak on the English Service (97.4/97.6 FM) at 2.30 pm. 
TNA MP Shanakiyan Rasamanickam is scheduled to speak on the Tamil Service (91.2 FM) at 7.30 pm while the CEO of Zam Zam Foundation will speak on the Muslim Service (102.1/ 102.3 FM) at 8.05 pm.
