Getting used to life without you

Jayantha Wijetilleka Athukorala

It was painful and tough;
Left the biggest ever void in my life;
Tore me completely apart;
Brought me down mentally; below zero;
On this day 20 years ago yet brings the memories saddest for me;
Made me spiritually aware and mindful;
Helped perceive life from a realistic angle getting my priorities right;
Handled situations, life, people better, carefully;
Provided the ‘Fortitude’ and the ‘Will’ to courageously face the odds that came my way;
Above all, in the world of impermanence understood in depth the meaningful philosophy proclaimed
over 2500 years ago by our All Knowing Supreme Teacher Gautama Buddha that all transient things are
subject to change, perish, decay, fragile, uncertain making no plans for the future;
By all merits bestowed upon you, may you never have an untimely death until you attain the Ultimate,
Absolute, Bliss of Nibbana devoid of all suffering, sadness, misery in all your corresponding births in this
ever long sansaric journey!
Remembered with much gratitude and affection
