The International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) will celebrate the World Interiors Day today with a series of gala events.

Bagging 35 years of excellence, the institute is set to display the value of interior designing and the services rendered by the profession to add glamour to the lives of people as well as to foster socio-economic development of skilled artists and designers. For this purpose, they focus on art galleries, museums, auditoriums, parks, open air theatres, hotels and restaurants, colourful street routes and city tours.

Among the many celebratory events and displays of scenic impressions of the city is an exhibition titled ‘ENACTING THE PLEASANTRIES OF LIVING’ that concentrates on living spaces in indoor-outdoor settings, seminars, workshops, furnishings, arts and crafts and design awards thereby creating a panoramic view of the expression ‘living design’ presented by members of Sri Lanka Institute of Interior Designers.
