JOSEPHIAN TECHNOTIA 24 – Science Day at St Joseph’s



“ Technotia 24 ”, the “Science Day”  of  St Joseph’s College  Darley Road Colombo 10,  was organised by the students of the Science Union at the College. The Young Josephian inventors had selected the theme “ Technology Exploration and Scientific Innovations”.

In his message Rev . Fr.Ranjith Andradi, the Rector and Principal of St.Joseph’s College, noted the  pioneering contributions made by the Catholic Church in developing and promoting Science and Scientific Research, while establishing universities and producing top Scientists throughout the world.

In the competition titled  “ Creativity and innovativeness” ,  St.Joseph’s College, Negombo and Royal College, Colombo 7,secured the first and second places respectively 

Michael Fernandopulle, Principal Adviser to the Executive Committee of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest with Dr. Nocoloy Gurusinghe, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Sri Lanka Technology Campus, Padukka, as the Guest of Honour on the day.
