The National Library and Documentation Services Board has announced that the acceptance period for manuscripts under the Publication Assistance Project will be from 1st of September to 15th December 2024.

It has been announced that the funding for the newly implemented publishing assistance scheme has been increased. This enhanced support is anticipated to benefit a range of areas, including academic research, novels, short stories, poetry, youth literature, and children’s literature. 

Under the new publishing assistance scheme, financial support will be allocated as follows: Rs.150,000 will be awarded for outstanding academic and research works; Rs.100,000 will be designated for novels and for collections of short stories; and Rs.75,000 will be provided for poetry, youth literature, and children’s works, that all works receiving support under this scheme are anticipated to be published during the Literacy Month in 2025.
