National Project Management Excellence Awards 2023, an event focused on evaluating National level projects that were undertaken before 2023 and recognized at a gala event at Hotel Kingsbury Colombo on August 16, 2023, organized by the PMI Sri Lanka Chapter.   
Over 250 professionals participated representing 35 leading organizations to receive 40 awards. The ceremony was graced by international representatives from the USA, Poland, India etc.   

The grand winner was Orel IT Pvt Ltd, while the Registrar of Companies received the government sector overall gold award.   
The regional conference and the Awards 2024 will be held, and all measures have already been taken by now to have this grand event in May 2024, as stated by the president of PMI Sri Lanka Chapter Mr Saman Kandanearachchi and the executive Vice President Mr Dhammike Mendis.
