Success Colombo provides high flow oxygen system



A brief ceremony was held at the hospital on June 28,  2021 to signify the donation of a high flow oxygen system

 

Success Colombo recently established the high flow oxygen system at Kalawana Base Hospital. The members of Success Colombo, their relatives, friends and philanthropists readily donated Rs. 2,084,692.00, to complete this project. With the installation of the high flow oxygen system, the transfer of patients for oxygen therapy from Kalawana Hospital to other provincial and base hospitals has now ended. A brief ceremony was held in the hospital on Monday the 28th June 2021 to signify this donation. The Director of the hospital Dr. Chandana Murage and consultant physicians Dr. Prasad Siriwardana and Dr. Ranga Gunasekara and the staff of the high dependency unit were present at the occasion. Success Colombo was represented by Dr. Anula, Dr. Ajita Wijesundere and Chatura Gamage. 


Success Colombo also facilitated the donation of equipment worth Rs. 550,000.00 to the Covid intermediate treatment centre at Seeduwa. This project was entirely funded by the “Friends in Dhamma” of Ontario Canada, headed by Mahinda Gunasekara. 


Success Colombo also provided 150 pulse oximeters to the Director General of Health Services on May 19, costing Rs. 750,000.00. On Vesak day, dry food items to 350 families of Bogasweva South Vavuniya costing Rs. 357,000.00 were distributed. These latter two projects were funded by “Friends in Dhamma” from Perth Australia, headed by Ananda Thilakasiri. Their contribution was Rs. 837,000.00. The balance contribution of Rs. 79,000.00 was from members of Success.
