Survivor’s Tales

I’m a survivor with battle wounds
I’m an orphan from the bombers tools
I’m a husband with no wife to love
I’m a daughter with no brother’s love

We are caught between
a Heaven and hell
Left behind
to deal with pain
Never complete
since that fateful day
Shattered dreams, survivor’s tales

I’m a religious with a lesser crowd
I’m a fireman who braved the storm
I’m a soldier who faced a hail
I’m a doctor who was called to aid

We are caught between
a Heaven and hell
Left behind to deal with pain
Never complete
since that fateful day
Shattered dreams, survivor’s tales

I’m a worshipper without a hand
I’m a dancer with pellets in my back
I’m a toddler with no one to hug
I’m a father without a son

Broken but born again
Shattered no one can tell
They tell us that we must love
We pray for grace from above
We are caught between
Peace and pain

We’ll try to love
Only time will tell
Our Shattered dreams, survivor’s tales
We’ll let them go for peace to reign.
