‘The Fall Guy’ Dangerous leap of a stuntman

American comedy thriller ‘The Fall Guy’ narrates around a down-and-out stuntman who must find the missing star of his ex-girlfriend’s blockbuster film.  
Based on the 1980s TV series about stunt performers, the film, directed by David Leitch, is now being screened in theatres around Colombo and few other theatres around the country.   
Scripted by Drew Pearce, the film stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hannah Waddingham, Teresa Palmer, Stephanie Hsu and Winston Duke in the stellar cast.   
After leaving the business one year earlier, battle-scarred stuntman Colt Seavers springs back into action when the star of a big studio movie suddenly disappears. As the mystery surrounding the missing actor deepens, Colt soon finds himself ensnared in a sinister plot that pushes him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.  


Filmed in Sydney, Australia, the locations include the Disney Studios Australia in Moore Park and Sydney from October 2022 onwards. The film features the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The bridge was closed for several daytime hours in January 2023 to facilitate filming of certain scenes.   
Premiered at SXSW in March, Universal Pictures released the film in the United States and worldwide including Sri Lanka on May 3.  
Imported by Liberty Cinemas Ltd, the film is now being screened at Colombo City Centre, Liberty Kollupitiya, Liberty Kiribathgoda, Chaya Cinema, Regal Katubedda and Kandy City Centre.
