“Vilithelu Penne,” a women’s organisation based in Canada has conferred the ‘Award of achievement’ to Gayathri Wickramasinhge, Colombo Municipal Council member, recognising her contribution to the community and their spiritual life. 

The award was conferred by the director of the organisation, Sashikala Narendra.

 Colombo District MP Mano Ganeshan and Express Newspapers Ltd., CEO M. Senthilnathan also participated in the awards ceremony and distributed the certificate and the memento respectively.
