Workshop on Emotional Intelligence



A workshop titled Emotional Intelligence, mindfulness and science of Happiness will be conducted by Lalith De silva, Former Group CEO of Sri Lanka Telecom on Saturday November 23 at Sugatharamaya Thalawathugoda from 8.45 a.m.to 4.30. p.m.  

The only entry requirement is “Be open-minded and willing to participate,” a mediarelease said. 

The media release said  the workshop would provide knowledge  to face complex and volatile challenges and uncertainty in our lives  and generate happiness on an individual and

interpersonal level.

It said:

 Workshop Objectives   

  • Learn the fundamentals of emotional intelligence, mindfulness , neuroscience   
  • Gain practical strategies to bolster your resilience, attention, optimism and manage your stress.

  • Relax and restore with activities designed to rejuvenate.   
  • Learn what research says about how emotional intelligence training and mindfulness can impact well-being, people behaviour and achievements.   
  • Learn how tools such as social connections, gratitude, forgiveness and kindness increase happiness.   
  • Learn how to apply positive psychology strategies to cultivate more happiness in individuals and organisations.   

Workshop Outcomes   

A growing body of research provides evidence which highlights that through EI and meditation practices, both personal and professional lives are 

positively transformed.   

Workshop Style   

The program will be a blended learning experience of a facilitator-led presentation, individual and group activities, and experiential learning where attendees will be required to participate.
