A combined operation was carried out by the No 62 Flight at United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) including Sri Lankan Aviation Unit to assist Zambian Special Forces to restore peace in the Boramata area in the Eastern Sector in the Central African Republic, which was attacked by Arab Messiriya Janjaweeds.
A rare scene of stunning double rainbow across the skies was seen in the Puttlam area. Double rainbows are formed when sunlight is reflected twice within a raindrop with the violet light that reaches the observers eye coming from the higher raindrops and the red light from lower raindrops.

The Colombo Municipal Council today began cremating unclaimed bodies of coronavirus victims after obtaining legal clearance from the Attorney General. At least 20 bodies are being cremated from today. Officials said that it will take approximately two hours to cremate each body so the process will take a few days.
