NPP Gampaha District team leader Vijitha Herath becomes the highest ever preferential vote taker in history by receiving 716, 715 votes, even surpassing NPP Colombo District team leader Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, who set a record by obtaining 655, 289 a short while ago.
