39 new Covid-19 cases within Police

23 STF personnel among them

Thirty-nine of the 275 people infected with Covid-19 reported in Sri Lanka on Monday were members of the Police and the Police Special Task Force, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 said.  

Among the patients reported within the Police were, 23 members of the STF from Rajagiriya camp, 8 officers from the Borella Police Station, 2 from Keselwatta Police, 2 from the Diplomat Security Division and 1 each from the CID, CCT, Pettah and Negombo Police Stations.  Meanwhile, 90 patients among the 275 were reported from the Gampaha District while 61 patients were reported from Colombo District.
