Archbishop calls for closer inter-religious links, education system

Archbishop emphasises importance of maintaining link between religious establishments and education system   
Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has emphasised the importance of maintaining an inseparable link between religious establishments and the education system, the Ministry of Education said.   
The Archbishop had expressed the views at a meeting held with Education Minister Professor G.L. Peiris.   
The Archbishop said the entire community, including the Catholic Church, will extend their support to future educational reforms in the field of  education in Sri Lanka carried out under the guidance of Minister Peiris.   
He also said that he was willing to extend his full support  for future development initiatives to be implemented for the betterment of the education sector.
