Four Brigadiers promoted as Major Generals

Four senior Brigadiers of the Army have been promoted to the rank of Major General by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.  

The promotions were made on the recommendation of Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva and the Ministry of Defence.  

Accordingly, Brigadier Indrajith Kandanarachchi, Director, Directorate of Agriculture and Livestock, Brigadier Chandana Wijeyasundera, General Officer Commanding, Engineers Division, Brigadier Kithsiri Liyanage, General Officer Commanding, 52 Division and Brigadier Christi Jayasinghe, Deputy Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force were promoted to the rank of Major General.
