Gang hacks two men to death in Jaffna: 12 arrested

At least 12 persons have been arrested over the murder of two persons at Sullipuram in Jaffna, who had been hacked to death, police said. 

 Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that two men aged 55 and 32 years old have been hacked to death by a group.   

The incident occurred on Friday night and investigations revealed that a group comprising 21 suspects were involved in the double murder.   

Investigations are underway to arrest the remaining suspects.   

The arrested are to be produced in the Mallakam Magistrate’s Court.   

It was revealed that a personal dispute among two parties led to the tragedy, the police said.
