Increase in use of communication facilities

The midyear Report on Fiscal Position - 2020 issued by the Ministry of Finance reveals the density of telephone usage in the country is 161.4 per 100 people and access to the Internet is 61.5 per 100 people.

Meanwhile, according to the reports of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) there are 31.8 million telephone connections operative in the country.   Midyear Fiscal position Report was presented to the parliament recently.
