Met.Dept forecasts heavy showers from today

The showery condition over the South-Western part and in North-Western Province is expected to intensify  from today (18) to the next few days, Department of Meteorology forecasts.  
“Heavy rainfalls of above 100mm are likely at certain places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western and North-Western Provinces and in the Galle and Matara Districts,” it said.  
“Spells of showers will occur in North-Central Province. Showers or thunder showers may occur in certain places in the Uva Province and in  the Ampara District after 2.00pm, it is said.
