SLPA honours ten media veterans at 69th Anniversary Convention

Ten media veterans were honoured at the 69th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Press Association (SLPA) and D.F.Kariyakarawana Memorial Journalism Awards held yesterday at the Sri Lanka Foundation. The seniors so honoured were Daya Lankapura, V. Thanabalasingham, Sheela Wickramasinghe, P.B.Ilangasinghe, Upali Arambewala, N.M.Ameen, Stanley Samarasinghe, S. S. Selvanayagam, Thusitha Malalasekara and Alexander Balasuriya. Here veteran photojournalist Alexander Balasuriya is receiving his memento from the Deputy Minister of Health and Media Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni while SLPA President Kurulu Koojana Kariyakarawana, Patron Muditha Kariyakarawana and Secretary Tilak Senanayake are looking on.
