A treat at Kandy Queen’s Hotel organised by former  Parliamentarian and Kandy District candidate of Sarvajana Balaya Party  contesting the General Election was cancelled by the Kandy Elections  Office and the police.  

He is the national organiser of the Sarvajana Balaya Party.  The officials created awareness among the participants and  the former parliamentarian that it was not permissible under the  election law to accord a treat during an election propaganda meeting.  The hotel management removed all food from the venue of the meeting.
