Stalled development projects resume in North

Several development projects in the North that had been stalled due to  COVID-19 pandemic have resumed. 

The contractors had earlier suspended the constructions projects for want of workers and on the instructions of the health authorities.   

Officers in charge of projects said that the danger of CORONA pandemic in the North had  subsided and that all development projects were taking place in full swing. They said the technical staff and the workers were strictly adhering to the health guidelines.   

Vavuniya- Mannar highway development project was one of the major development projects that had already resumed.
