DID WE LEARN?

The virus hit the whole world - rich and poor, large and small, no one knows where it came from and where or when it will go away.  The world, as we know it, was getting completely out of hand with all its gigantic space achievements, high tech equipment no necessity for the simple things in life.  Everyone wanting to be someone and no one with time - no time, no time!!  Parents with no time for their kids, kids with nothing to learn from their parents and sometimes even at school.  Only the hi-tech equipment at their disposal taught them what they thought they had to know. No time, no time, no time to even stand and stare.  Life was one mad rush until the Virus brought them ALL TO THEIR KNEES!!  They did not know what to do with time then, It took some time for them to realize that the time being given was a gift, a gift that God in His Infinite wisdom sent so we could get things in perspective, realize where we were heading and more importantly develop a correct sense of values.
If we prayed during Lockdown, we should find time to pray now to let God know He is still Master of our destinies, Controller and Master of the World.  Let us all stop what we are doing, bow our heads and pray - no matter where no matter when.  Just pray!

*Eternal Father*, *You* made the whole World stop spinning for a while.
*You* silenced the noise that we all have created.
*You* made us bend our knees again and ask for a Miracle.
*You* closed *Your* Churches so we will realize how dark our World is without *You* in it.
*You* humbled the proud and powerful.
The economy is crashing, businesses are closing.

We were very proud, we thought that everything we have, everything we possess, was the result of our hard work.
We have forgotten that it was always *Your* grace and mercy that made us who we are.
We’re running round in circles looking for some cure to this disease, when in fact we need to humble ourselves and ask *You* for guidance and wisdom.
We’ve been living our lives like we will be here on Earth forever like there’s no Heaven.
Maybe these trials are *Your* mercy in disguise.

Maybe this virus is actually *Your* way of purifying us, and cleansing our souls, bringing us back to *YOU*.
Today, as these words travel the internet, may all who see them join their hearts and hands together in prayer! Asking for forgiveness, asking for healing,  for protection from this virus saying:
*GOD* just wipe it from the face of the Earth!
*Father*, *You* have been patiently waiting for us. We’re sorry for ignoring *Your* voice.. and in our selfish ways, we’ve sometimes forgotten that *YOU* are *GOD*!
*You* only need to say the word and our souls shall all be healed. The virus will be repealed.
We ask *YOU* these things in *Jesus’* name! ...
 *Amen*.

COVID took an immeasurable quantum from the world but it also taught the world an incomparable lesson:
I parked in front of the mall sitting inside my car waiting for my son to get a few items from the supermarket.
Coming my way from across the parking lot was what the society would consider a tramp.
From his looks, he had no car, no home, no clean clothes, and no money.
There are times when you feel generous but there are other times that you are just not in the mood and don’t want to be bothered.
This was one of those “don’t want to be bothered times.”
“I hope he doesn’t ask me for any money,”  I thought.
He didn’t.
He came and sat on the curb nearby but he didn’t look like he could have enough money to even get a good meal.
After a few minutes, he spoke.
“That’s a very nice car you got there,” he said.

"COVID took a lot from the world, but it also taught us to reflect on life’s true meaning. May our hearts and minds be enlightened to what life is truly about. We come, we go; the in-between defines who we truly are."

He was ragged but he had an air of dignity around him.
I said, “thanks,” and continued listening to the car radio.
He sat there quietly, and the expected plea for money never came.
As the silence between us widened something inside me said, “ask him if he needs any help.”
I was sure that he would say “yes” but I held true to the inner voice.
“Do you need any help?” I asked.
*He answered in three simple but profound words that I shall never forget.
*We often look for wisdom in great men and women and we expect it from those of higher learning and accomplishments.
I expected nothing but an outstretched grimy hand
He spoke the three words that shook me.
*”Don’t we all” ?* he said.

I was feeling high and mighty, successful and important until those three words hit me like a twelve-gauge shotgun.
*Don’t we all?*
I needed help.
Maybe not for bus fare or a place to sleep, but I needed help.
I reached in my wallet and gave him not only enough for bus fare but enough to get a warm meal and a few other things for the day.
Those three little words still ring in my ears till today.
*No matter how much you have, no matter how much you have accomplished, you need help too.*
....and again *no matter how little you have, no matter how loaded you are with problems, you can give help.*
Even if it’s just a compliment, you can give that.
You never know when you may see someone that appears to have it all.
They are waiting on you to give them what they don’t have -

*A different perspective on life,
*a glimpse at something beautiful,
* a respite from daily chaos, that only you through a torn world can see.Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets.
Maybe he was more than that.
Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and wise, to minister to a soul too comfortable in themselves.
Maybe God looked down, called an Angel, dressed him like a tramp, then said, “go minister to that man inside the car, that man needs help.”
**DON’T WE ALL?*
Help somebody, you are only a custodian of whatever you possess.
MY VIEW
COVID took a lot from the world, but it also taught us to reflect on life’s true meaning. May our hearts and minds be enlightened to what life is truly about. We come, we go; the in-between defines who we truly are.
