Edith Cowan University honours Dr. Rosh Jalagge with Prestigious Honorary Doctorate



 

Edith Cowan University conferred an Honorary Doctorate upon Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in Western Australia Dr. Rosh Jalagge in recognition of his outstanding service-based entrepreneurial achievements and remarkable philanthropic contributions as the CEO/Founder of the Roshana Care Group.   
Dr. Rosh Jalagge’s recognition with an Honorary Doctorate from Edith Cowan University makes him one of two Asians to receive this esteemed honour. The first recipient was the King of Thailand, underscoring the exceptional nature of his contributions to society.   
Dr Jalagge, along with his wife Priyanka Gamage, also founded the philanthropical foundation “Rosh and Priyanka Foundation”. Through this, Rosh has been a consistent and significant donor to people in need in Sri Lanka throughout the years; mainly focusing on education, medical, and disaster relief. Rosh is also a renowned donor to the Sri Lankan society in Australia donating hundreds of thousands of dollars each year, and providing employment opportunities and assistance to new migrants to Australia. His philanthropical activities are further extended to the indigenous society in Western Australia as well.   
Edith Cowan University celebrated the extraordinary achievements of Dr. Rosh Jalagge and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of vulnerable populations in Australia.
