To see , to hear, to smell, to taste and to feel are all privileges of living. Yet, there are few of us deprived of one or more of these essentials.
According to estimates made by the World Health Organisation, 200,000 Sri Lankans have lost their vision. Though they lack their vision, these individuals are still full of life and potential. To label them as ‘disabled’ is unjust, when in fact they are only ‘differently able’ -differently able to perform their daily tasks and stand out in spite of their deprivation.
