The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Sri Lanka announced the appointment of the board for 2017, at the 21st Annual General Meeting which took place on 1stDecember at the Hotel Galadari Colombo.
Brian Selvanayagam, Managing Director of On’ally Holdings PLC was appointed as the new Chairman whilst Asanga Ranasinghe, CEO, Brandix Lanka Ltd.was appointed as President of the Institute. Ranasinghe succeeds Stuart Chapman, who completed his term of three years. Unfolding the strategy for 2017, Brian Selvanayagam said “I believe our singular focus should be about promoting the CIM qualification. We need to educate the corporates about the value in recruiting CIM qualified staff to their organization and also ensure CIM recognition in the industry. This should be
our priority”.
