Fashion Bug recently conducted a restoration project to improve the aesthetics of the Fort Railway Station. A big part of the project was better and clearer signage, time tables and name boards for the precinct in order to offer a better travelling experience for the commuters.

Understanding the crucial need to maintain one of the logistical hallmarks in the heart of Colombo, Fashion Bug has been continuously taking care of the upkeep of main signage at the Fort Railway Station for the past 10 years, providing regular facelifts to the key elements at the station.

“Corporate Social Responsibility is a cornerstone of the Fashion Bug value system. And this project in particular has been one that we are continuously and consistently involved with for the past 10 years,” commented Fashion Bug (Pvt.) Ltd Deputy General Manager, Dinesh Ekanayaka.

“Fort Railway Station is truly a hallmark of Colombo’s transportation system and this renovation project and Fashion Bug go way back to when we first started this endeavor in 2013,” added Fashion Bug (Pvt.) Ltd Marketing Head Nadisha Wickramathilake.

Fashion Bug has taken on the responsibility of installing and maintaining Notice Boards, Platform Numbers, Time Tables, Ticket Counter Boards, Maps, as well as other Name and Direction Boards that help commuters on a daily basis. In total, around 150 boards were installed to uplift the station with a new look.
