HTS Group awarded for donation of hotel for quarantine centre



HTS Group bagged a much-coveted CSR Project of the Year award at Business Excellence Awards 2021, organised by Business World International Organisation and Best Social Services Company Award, at South Asian Business Excellence Awards 2021, organised by SAPS. 


These two prestigious awards were granted to HTS Group for their donation of Anoma Hotel in Hanwella for a quarantine centre for the first time in the world. The awards nights, organised in recognition of exceptional organisations, which achieved their ultimate goals for the year 2021, were recently held at Taj Samudra and Monarch Imperial, respectively, with the Minister Chamal Rajapaksa, former President Maithripala Sirisena and Minister Dayasiri Jauyasekara gracing the occasions as chief guests.


Born in historic city of Seethawake and having started his career as a pilot officer of Sri Lanka Air Force, Rathnasiri Priyantha founded HTS Group of Companies after gaining experience in the private sector as a Sales Executive and obtaining a PhD in business management.


HTS Group, comprising five companies such as HTS Senu, Cargo & Shipping Services, HTS Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd, Cool Energy (Pvt.) Ltd and SN&M Trading, has recorded a tremendous success in a few years with establishing strong business partnerships in the USA, Australia, Italy, China, Dubai, India and Vietnam. 


HTS Engineering revolutionised the construction sector by introducing iron structures for speedy large-scale constructions, which can be removed and relocated when and where it is necessary. Factory buildings as well as high luxury housing schemes mark HTS Engineering’s track record. HTS Group has helped cattle farmers in their milking industry by introducing a portable milking machine on an easy payment basis. HTS Holdings Chairman/MD Rathnasiri Priyantha is also the Chief Executive Director of Fundamental Rights and Other Rights Organisation.
