ICL Brand’s (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of the Maharaja Group, has joined hands with the Chokolaate Mother Daughter Fashion Designer (MDFD) 2022 to support young designers.
ICL’s youthful and vibrant fragrance brand for young women ‘Secrets’ will present a special runway show comprising of designs by the finalists that have been inspired by the brand’s latest collection.
Ten brilliant young designers are gearing up to showcase their casual, sports and evening wear ensembles for mother-daughter duos at the grand finale.
The final show will be directed by renowned designer and fashion expert Dinesh Chandrasena and will be choreographed by Rozanne Diasz.
This year three brand new fragrances will be launched at the show, and the ten finalists were given the exciting task of creating one look inspired by a fragrance of their choice. The creations will be showcased by professional models and ICL will select one winner.
Speaking on the collaboration, Group Director for ICL Brands Shanthi Bhagirathan shared that secrets is a well-known brand that speaks to the hearts and personalities of young women who aspire to be the best version of themselves in everything they do.
“We are especially happy to be partnering with Chokolaate Mother Daughter Fashion Designer this year because we have ten incredible females as the finalists in this year’s contest.
We are definitely looking forward to see what these young ladies come up with as their designs inspired by our unique fragrances,” said Bhagirathan.

The launch of three new fragrances inspired by the dynamism of young women will allow the brand to further entice young ladies to be confident and take on the world when wearing a Secrets perfume.
Chokolaate as the pioneering youth magazine in Sri Lanka is also proud of its own MDFD journey. The show has contributed exceptional talent to Sri Lanka’s fashion industry who have even gone on to win global accolades, launch their own clothing lines and showcase on runways internationally.
