Nawalakanda Tea Factory set an all-time record price of Rs.550 per kilo for an FGS grade surpassing the record achieved last week. 
This tea was purchased by M/s Uniworld Teas at the tea auctions concluded at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on September 7, 2016. 
The sale was conducted by the tea broker M/s John Keells PLC.  
Nawalakanda Tea Factory has consistently produced high-quality orthodox teas over the past few years and achieved several awards for its efforts. This tea factory is situated in the Ratnapura District’s Kahawatte region and the proprietor of this modern tea factory is Anura Peiris.
