Oateo is one of Sri Lanka’s very own homegrown cereal brands. Launched in 2016, the popular cereal brand prides itself on its wide oats-based product range.
Thriving under its parent company, Aussee Oats Milling, Oateo has over 30 plus skus under its belt. Its diverse product range includes sugar-free cook-it-yourself oats like Rolled, Instant, Steel Cut oats, flavoured oats, oats soups, oats beverages, muesli and more.
The brand is one of the few globally to have collaborated with Walt Disney’s Marvel Avenger franchise in the oats segment. Oateo released a Marvel Avengers themed range in 2021 to capitalize on the franchise’s world wide popularity. This range aims at striking a closer connection with Marvel fans through Marvel Super Heroes.
Each pack is thoughtfully designed with every character being assigned to match synergies with the oat offerings from the range. The target audience, style and design were also considered for character associations - for instance, Iron Man is amongst the most popular Marvel characters, hence is paired with Instant Oats which is Oateo’s top seller and also shares the red and gold color scheme as the iron-clad SuperHero.
Priced Rs. 60 onwards, the product portfolio consists of Iron Man themed Instant oats, Black Panther themed Rolled Oats, Captain America themed Steel Cut oats, Hulk themed Oats Flour, Deadpool themed Muesli Mad Mix and Hulk themed Muesli Tropical Mix.
Raghav Gupta, Founder of Oateo Oats, states, “Our intent to bring out this range of Marvel Avengers themed oats is to sustain our efforts towards product innovation and diversity. We hope that our audiences will enjoy consuming this range featuring some of Marvel’s much-loved characters. The products are available across Sri Lanka, through retailers and online channels too. We hope to continue the strong legacy we hold in the health segment and bring special recipes for everyone in the family.”
The Oateo range is available across Keells, Food City, Arpico, Laugfs, Glomark, SPAR, Indra Traders, Sampath Super, and small stores across the country.
