The 68th  Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Skal International was held recently at Ramada in Colombo and Travel Talk Asia Managing Director Sk Dinushka Chandrasena was re-elected as President for the year 2022, with World Link Travels Managing Director Sk Ahintha Amarasinghe continuing as Vice President.

The chief guest at the event was Verite Research Executive Director Dr. Nishan De Mel, an economist with extensive academic, policy and private sector experience. He has been a Member of the Presidential Task Force on Health Sector Reform, Presidential Committee on Tobacco, Alcohol and Dangerous Drug Regulation and National Steering Committee 
on Social Security.

Skal International is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. Founded in 1934, it is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry, with over 12,000 
members in 97 countries.

The two new members inducted during the luncheon meeting were LOLC Holdings subsidiary Serendib Hotels Managing Director Shantha Kurumbalapitiya and Booking Whizz Sri Lanka Managing Director and former Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Managing Director Sutheash Balasubramanium.
