Ceylon Beverage Holdings PLC has made a Rs.238 million investment in its fullyowned subsidiary, Pubs ‘N Places Private Limited, which is engaged in the business of owning and franchising out restaurants.

The company said the investment was carried out by subscribing to 23.8 million shares of Pubs ‘N Places, at Rs.10 per share.

Ceylon Beverage Holdings, previously known as Ceylon Breweries, is a Carson group company, which holds the controlling stake in Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC, another Carson group company.

Apart from breweries, Carson Cumberbatch has extensive business interests in plantations and fund management.
