​The simple, effective and immediate solution for the high rising cost of fuel, the new Bajaj four-wheeler, RE60 is yet to make its presence in Sri Lanka. The eco-friendly budget car is the first four-wheeler developed by Bajaj.

The local agent for the RE60 vehicle requested Department motor traffic to register it under different category but this has not been done so far. In order to accommodate this request, Department of  motor traffic need to create a new category for this vehicle and change the Motor Traffic Act accordingly which has to be done with Cabinet approval. The Cabinet paper has already been prepared and sent for approval with the necessary details and specifications of the vehicle.

As soon as this is done, the Sri Lankan will get the opportunity to experience the RE60's effect first hand.
